the lonely escapade in outer space

so this weekend was really uneventful. all my family on the coast is fine from gustav which is a relief. hopefully it ended up just as well for everyone else i know that was effected. the austin labor day tournament was this weekend, and for those of you who don't know my family, that means that all hell broke loose in my household. my dad used to be the president of the largest soccer club in town, and now he serves on a bunch of advisory boards and is the director of all the tournaments they put on. so we usually get to work for him, make bank, and see all my sister's games since she is the only one that is still playing.

god i love british soccer trainers. okay, most soccer trainers. and cute young refs. hell. fucking. yeah. there was this one ref at my site that kept taking his shirt off in front of me....SO hot. too bad we never exchanged names, just poked fun at one another. maybe next time. i guess i have a reason to start going to my sister's games more often.

speaking of refs, this one old guy that was there on sunday started talking politics and then said this little gem in regards to global warming -

"global warming? we called it summertime back then."

i about pissed my pants. no lie. i'm glad my brother and the trainer found it equally as amusing. oh, and we had a heart to heart about smoking. ha.

work was really slow yesterday, and monday. blah. maybe it will pick back up the second half of this week?

i was super depressed yesterday. i can't seem to get out of this ...rut...it just keeps coming back. i need to get back on my feet. sarah was right, i should see all the warning signs of being unhealthy - it is glaringly obvious - but i don't have the strength or the will to keep pulling myself back up. i've been beaten down by everyone around me, and more importantly myself, too many times now.
"i know i'm not crazy, i've just lost my will."

i don't work until 4 tomorrow, so i'm heading to san marcos/san antonio in the next couple of hours to see sara. i'm stoked. i'm going to hit up the outlets and then go party at texas state with my good ol' buddy. words can't explain how happy it makes me to see her again.
