brilliant clarity begins to fade
clouds roll in, billowing
from all directions, with each passing moment,
mirroring the doubts bombarding my empty shell.
apathy fills the empty space
raindrop to flash of light
imminent change promising nothing
as another milemarker passes out the corner of my eye.
volume to the sky
as i try to drown out my own thoughts,
anything that could pass as a glimmer of misgiving.
fill my my mind with your musings
so mine can't stretch their reach past
the ebbing subconscious moving into this instant.
...that's all i have for now.
